Summer comes clean to Fen about baby Faith. Fen forgives Summer, but tells her he loves her and wants to start a family with her. She agrees, they elope, and decide to fight for baby Faith. They go to Michael and Lauren with the truth; just as Phyllis and Daniel discover it. Daniel tells Phyllis he can no longer be a part of this as Lily is pregnant, and he doesn’t want to upset her. Phyllis feels lied to by both her kids and chastises Daniel. She later apologizes, but leaves to confront Summer. As she’s confronting Summer she interrupts Fen & Summer’s meeting with Michael & Lauren. Michael & Lauren agree to help them find an apartment, Phyllis offers the Abbott poolhouse and both of them internships at Jabot. Summer and Fen agree; Lauren & Michael are angry Phyllis swooped in. Phyllis details how while she had Daniel she basically raised him alone as Danny was always on the road; she goes further into how poor she grew up and how she doesn’t want that for her daughter or grandchildren. She tells them Daniel & Lily are pregnant too. Summer tells Phyllis that Faith Newman is her and Fen’s daughter. Meanwhile Adam and Natalie name Chelsea and Devon the godparents of Faith; Lily feels slighted. Adam reveals he and Chelsea went to boarding school together, and she’s his best friend. After the christening Adam and Natalie are served papers. Confused Natalie asks Adam what’s going on; Adam finally reveals he bought Faith for Natalie because of how much he knew she wanted to be a mom. Natalie slaps Faith and tells him if she loses Faith she will never forgive him. At home Natalie sleeps in Faith’s room and ignores Adam. In court Natalie states she never knew about Adam’s scheme and begs to keep Faith. The judge feels Adam coerced Summer into giving him her child taking advantage of a vulnerable teen; he tells Adam although he will not throw him in jail because legally he didn’t break the law that baby Faith will return to her birth mom. Natalie breaks down and has one final goodbye with Faith. She storms out of court.
